For scale: Google lists geocoding at $5 per 1,000 requests. A month of the free tier — 300,000 calls — would be about $1,500 there, and the premium tier’s three million would be $15,000. We do not need to be close to those numbers to be worth using.

These limits are deliberately cautious while the service is young. They will be revised from measurement, not from guesswork, and we will not publish a limit we cannot hold.
