Free, premium, custom

Three tiers, and only one of them is the point. The free tier has to be genuinely enough to run a real small app, or it is marketing dressed as a gift.

For scale: Google lists geocoding at $5 per 1,000 requests. The 250,000 calls in the premium tier cost roughly $1,250 a month there. We do not need to be close to that number to be worth using.

These limits are deliberately cautious while the service is young. They will be revised from measurement, not from guesswork, and we will not publish a limit we cannot hold.
